Resident companies are taxed on their worldwide income. Foreign-source income of Guinean-incorporated entities is fully taxable in Guinea, subject to limited unilateral foreign tax credit and bilateral conventions where they exist. Mining and petroleum stabilisation conventions can derogate from this principle within negotiated periods.
Standard 25 percent corporate income tax (IS) on resident company profits since the Code Général des Impôts reform applicable on 1 January 2022, reduced from the prior 35 percent rate. Mining sector profits taxed at 30 percent under the 2011/2013 Mining Code. Minimum tax (IMF) of 0.5 percent on turnover applies as advance payment.
Personal income tax basis. Worldwide. Resident individuals are generally taxable on their worldwide income, subject to relief under applicable tax treaties.
Tax residents (permanent home, physical presence over six months, or center of economic activities in Guinea) are taxed on worldwide income. Non-residents are taxed only on Guinea-source income. No HNWI, expatriate or non-dom special regime exists.
Progressive personal income tax (RTS) from 0 percent up to to a top marginal rate of 40 percent above of annual taxable salary. Intermediate brackets at 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 percent. The 2022 CGI reform added an 8 percent tier in the lower-mid range and removed the 10 percent standard professional expense deduction. Employee social security contributions add 5 percent (capped).
